Blondes are such a personal service that we wanted to break down exactly what to ask for to receive the perfect Sienna blonde.

Colour specialist Fiona Richardson talked to us about the infamous Sienna blonde saying ‘I just love that warmer, buttery, creamier blondes are trending right now and actually have been for a little while now. The ‘Sienna blonde’ I would say is the most popular reference photo within the hairdressing industry right now’

One thing that works so well with Siennas hair is she has a lot of very fine highlights throughout her hair. Fine highlighting creates a bright effect but also grows out super naturally so its a great technique to ask for in your hair. Fiona says ‘the ‘tipping out’ technique between foils can really help brighten those ends to give the affect of it being lighter towards the ends which always works really nicely - ask your stylist to free paint the ends throughout once the foils have been applied’ another tip from Fiona is to pack the foils in around the face ‘brightening the face is another pro tip to create a really luxe look that’s personal to you’

‘Lastly do not over tone! The more you neutralise the more ‘dull’ the blonde is going to look - you may not even need to tone!’ Says Fiona. In terms of maintenance she says ‘maintain this blonde at home by using a violet based shampoo, avoid using too often as using a toning shampoo can dull your blonde by over toning it. Rebook your next appointment within 8 - 10 weeks and alternate 1/2 head highlights and a full head of highlights.’
