Emily radiates beauty. Her energy, warmth, and kindness are some of the many reasons she has gained a celebrity clientele that trusts her for their skin & nail needs. Emily has an impressive clientele, including Simone Ashley, Angelina Jolie, & Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley. With her own incredible head of hair, we wanted to talk to her about the products she can’t live without and why having a hair stylist who guides you through colour is so important…

On what her hair means to her…
Hair is my security blanket and having volume is my thing. I can throw something on clothes wise and not think twice about it if my hair is done. Looking back I really have always loved hair and been into looking after it. To me nothing is better then long, healthy hair. I also think getting older makes you realise you really need to look after it as no matter what, you have to wear your hair everyday.
On where she gets her hair done…
My favourite people to look after my hair work at Micheal John on Ellis street. Dimitra (@hairbydimitra) cuts it and applies extensions when I want them and honestly, anything she does it amazing. Her whole ethos is hair health. If she does anything for me then I know my hair is never going to be ruined. She makes sure every client has strong, healthy hair. Neave (@Neavehairagram) does my hair colour and she is so important to me as well. If I colour my hair too much she’ll say right lets have a break for a few months - someone who is willing to say that and never compromise hair health is so talented.
On her hair journey…
I’ve always had healthy hair and naturally it’s really long so I would say I’ve been fortunate. That being said I did notice a difference when I started colouring it. It felt like it lost its ‘thing’ a bit. I do love being brighter round the front as it’s really flattering and mimics my natural hair when it has been in the sun. When it started colouring, it inspired me to think about my hair health and start looking at protectors and growth serums. I think the things I really look for with my hair is health, volume and the right colour. Sometimes if I want some extra length or thickness I’ll get Dimitra to put some extensions in. If extensions are done well I think they make such a difference to your hair and the health.
On her hair icons…
Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley - I love her hair. The colour, the thickness, she has such a good head of hair. The style always looks so shiny and beautiful - I really think she must be one of the most referenced people for hair to exist. Simone Ashley has amazing hair too. Whatever style she has it looks great and whatever she does suits her. She has beautiful natural curls and she can do a sleek long look, everything looks incredible. I love Camilla Monroe - the colour, the wave, and the hair. Those girls are definetely my top 3.
On hair products…
I have started using Champo, and I love it. I have the pitta growth serum, and I use that every single evening and massage it into my scalp for a minute. My hair has 100% grown since I introduced it into my routine; I’ve got all this new hair around my hairline, so it is making a big difference. A doctor sent it to me. She sent me photos and said, you have to try this product. Anything she recommends, I know is good. I'm obsessed with hair; I’m obsessed with good products. I use the Champo volumising pitta shampoo and conditioner as I like to use lightweight hair care to give me body and fullness. A great little tip for adding volume to your hair is to spritz dry shampoo in it even if it's clean. I use the Batiste dry shampoo, and it gives that instant lift and texture. I do also love an Olaplex treatment; every time I have one in the salon, it leaves my hair shiny, strong, and looking super healthy.
Being obsessed with hair health has helped me find the right products and the right people to look after it. I think with make up and nails you try things more but with products once you have found the right ones you stick to them. To me using the right things and the results being amazing is the best feeling, so it’s lovely to be able to share it with others on the Loxx.
